AN INDUSTRY STANDARD GETS EVEN BETTER We've reengineered the pedal that established our reputation for innovation and quality. Because innovation is part of our DNA we thought it was time for some major improvements. Most notably, the toe clamp. The 5000 needed more gripping strength, providing a stronger connection between the drummer and kick drum. So, we developed the Tri-Pivot™ Toe Clamp (U.S. Patent No. 8330032). Three independent 360 degree, rotating rubber pads firmly pinch almost any diameter and thickness bass drum counter hoop from the top and the bottom, with zero slippage. Add to that a new textured rubber grip pad on the base plate and we think you'll agree that there’s never been a better system for attaching a pedal to a bass drum. Last, but certainly not least, we wanted to improve on the smoothness and feel of the 5000, if that was even possible. To accomplish this, we added a Dual Bearing Spring Rocker, making the 5000 quicker and more responsive.

Featuring a host of refinements and upgrades, the legendary line of 5000 Series bass drum pedals still features a choice of drive systems, aluminum hex shafts, pedal plates and linkages, 101 two-way beater, and built in spurs. These pedals can be customized to fit the needs of any player.
The 5002 is also available in a "Lefty" version.

The Accelerator™ (AD4) drive system offers an eccentric motion that creates an indirect relationship between the sprocket and the footboard, increasing the velocity of the pedal by shortening the length of the stroke. It is recommended for situations that require increased speed and sensitivity.
The Turbo™ (TD4) concentric drive system maintains a direct relationship between the sprocket and the footboard to provide a solid, powerful, consistent feel and response.

The original DW 5000 pedal changed drumming forever. Its feel and response became a favorite of the world’s top drummers shortly after its release nearly four decades ago. Since that time, the 5000 has been modernized to be even more steady and reliable, but the unmistakable playability of a single chain and sprocket drive system remains the favorite of many pedal aficionados. The cable-driven 5000 Series cajon pedal with GlideTrack™ drive technology has proven to be an advanced cajon pedal system predicated on feel and functionality. Drummers and percussions alike have praised its effortless action and speed. With that in mind, the DirectLink Cajon Pedal (DWCP5000CJDL) was created. Based on the industry-standard DW double pedal linkage, it also utilizes a GlideTrack wheel for smooth operation, but features the added reaction time that a direct linkage offers. 5000S Sidekick Pedal

The 5000S Sidekick is an upward striking pedal that's perfect for cocktail set-ups or for adding a new kick sound to any drum kit. It's firmly supported by a 1/2" rod that conveniently slips into any DW TB12 floor tom bracket (10.5mm rod is also included for PDP tom brackets) and its unique rope drive feels natural and effortless. It boasts standard 5000 Series features such as a Delta ball bearing hinge, slotted stroke adjustment and 101 2-way beater. Add one to a 16" or 18" floor tom for an alternate wide-open tone.
